Reached from My Page → User Settings.
Profile settings¶
Saved with Save Profile Settings.
- Profile is Publicly Visible?
Whether other users can open your profile page. Default on. With it off, your username still appears on your public projects but is not a link.
- Show ‘Anonymous’ instead of Username in Project Metrics?
Creators see who started and completed their sessions. With this on you appear as Anonymous in those metrics. Default off.
- Require a touch or keypress if the browser doesn’t detect activity
Makes the player wait for a tap or key before starting. Useful when a browser blocks audio autoplay until the page has been interacted with. Default off.
- Allow uploaded Audio Files to be Viewable and Downloadable by the Public
Lets signed-out visitors open the audio files you have shared, when given a direct link. Default off.
- Show Interests on Profile Page? / Show contact e-mail on Profile Page?
Shown only when the profile is public. The e-mail toggle reveals a Contact E-mail box; the address is shown on your profile behind a click-to-reveal.
- Theme
A dropdown of site themes. Labelled applies to classic pages; the current interface is fixed dark and the setting has little visible effect.
- Profile Description
Free text shown on your profile. Supports limited BBCode.
Danger zone: account deletion¶
Request Account Deletion places the account in a deletion queue. All your projects and sessions are hidden immediately, and you have 30 days to change your mind from the Account Pending Deletion page, which also has a Reverse this Action link. After 31 days the account and its data are erased and a confirmation is e-mailed. If you have a subscription, cancel it first.
Account Security¶
Account Standing¶
Account Standing (in the Sessions group of the navigation) lists any warnings the moderation team has issued. A new warning also appears as a banner on every page until you press I understand. The page reads Your account is in good standing when there are none. Appeals go through the feedback form.
Notifications¶
The bell in the top bar shows in-app notifications, for example when a report you filed has been reviewed. There are no e-mail notification preferences; e-mail is only used for sign-in, invitations, resets and moderation messages.
Data rights¶
Two forms under Contact create requests that staff handle by hand:
Account Information Request: a copy of the data held about you, delivered to your account e-mail.
Deletion of Personal Data.
For a self-service copy of your own projects, export them as bundles. See Fractal and bundles.
