Getting started as a creator

This guide creates a first project with one session. Each step links to the full reference for that screen.

1. Create a project

  1. Open Something New from the navigation bar, or Create New… on the dashboard. It offers three things to create: a Schedule, a Project and a Playlist. If you have never made a project, the Project card is highlighted with “You should start here if you have never created a session before!”

  2. Choose Create Project and fill in:

    • Project Title (required)

    • Description of Project for List, which supports limited BBCode

    • Subject’s Name, what the subject is called on the project page (required)

    • Hide Project from Main List, if you only want to share it by link

    • at least one tag under What is your session about? (required)

  3. Press Create Project, then Create New Session in Project.

2. Create a session

  1. On the New Session screen give the session a title and pick a type from Select a Session Type. A short description appears under the dropdown for each type. For a first session, Brainwash Spiral Task or Mantra Spiral Task is a good start.

  2. Press Create Session, then Go to Session Settings.

3. Fill in the session

For a spiral task the editor has five tabs: Content, Spiral, Settings, Images and Script.

  • On Content, add lines: type a line in the box and press Enter. For a BST also set the Number of iterations.

  • On Spiral, pick the spiral type and colours.

  • On Images, drag images into the uploader (optional).

  • Press Save in the header.

4. Try it

Go back to the project with Back to Project and press Launch Session. Press q in the player to quit early, f for fullscreen, and ~ to open the player console.
